Link continues USAF E-3 training support
December 01, 2009
The U.S. Air Force has exercised an option for continued training support for the E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft with L-3 Link Training & Simulation. Under the original contract awarded in 1999, the U.S. Air Force included annual options for Link to continue training E-3 flight crews through 2014, according to the company. The current one-year option provides for training at Link’s Oklahoma City, Okla., training facility, which includes a navigator part-task trainer, a flight-training device or two high-fidelity operational flight trainers.
